About our Company Culture

Rosemary Hill is not a typical workplace — and that’s exactly why people who thrive here never want to leave.
We operate on a living, breathing farm where every day is different, full, meaningful and often beautifully chaotic. With weddings, events, guests, schools, venues, trails and kitchens all running at once, our work requires energy, responsibility, curiosity and heart.

Our culture is built on honesty, personal accountability, continuous growth, pride in our work and mutual respect.
We value people who care — about their work, their team, their health, their environment and their future.

Here’s the kind of energy that makes Rosemary Hill magic:

  • People who choose an active, healthy lifestyle that supports the physical nature of our work
  • Individuals who care about food, nature, sustainability, hospitality and community
  • Team members with a growth mindset — open to learning and improvement
  • Calm, solutions-focused thinkers who handle pressure well
  • Kind, respectful communicators
  • Ambitious people who take ownership and don’t wait to be pushed
  • Hard-working, reliable and consistent team players

If this feels like your type of environment, you’ll feel at home here.

Our Values

We hire, train and lead according to the values that define who we are:

  • Responsibility & Ownership
We don’t wait for someone else to solve problems. We take action, we follow through, and we take pride in doing things properly.
  • Integrity & Honesty
We believe in transparency, accountability and doing the right thing — always. Trust is the foundation of our team.
  • Growth Mindset
We are continuously learning, improving systems, building skills and developing new ideas. Curiosity is encouraged; stagnation is not.
  • Excellence in Every Detail
From plating a meal to preparing a venue to welcoming a guest, we value precision, quality and consistency.
  • Respect & Kindness
We treat each other well, communicate directly but kindly, and create a safe, supportive environment for our whole team.
  • Wellness & Sustainability
We believe in mindful living — healthy bodies, healthy minds, healthy relationships and a healthy planet.
  • Team Above Ego
No one here works “alone.” Success is collective. We step in, help out, lift each other and operate as one team.
Our Hiring Philosophy

We are very intentional about who joins Rosemary Hill.

We don’t hire based only on experience. We hire based on character — because skills can be taught, but attitude cannot.

We look for people who:

  • Can handle pressure with grace
  • Are eager to grow and take feedback
  • Have emotional maturity
  • Are physically able to work long, active shifts
  • Communicate honestly and respectfully
  • Care about the quality of their work
  • Want to contribute, not just collect a paycheck

Experience is helpful, but who you are matters more than what’s on your CV.

We recruit slowly and deliberately, choosing people who will strengthen our culture, raise our standards and build a long-term career with us.

WHO SHOULD NOT APPLY

We share this openly because it saves everyone time and ensures long-term happiness on both sides.

Rosemary Hill is not the right workplace for you if:

  • You prefer slow-paced, predictable work
  • You struggle under pressure or when plans change
  • You rely heavily on being managed and cannot work independently
  • You take feedback personally instead of professionally
  • You cannot handle long shifts on your feet
  • You lack punctuality, reliability or consistency
  • You smoke during working hours
  • You resist systems, cleaning standards or SOPs
  • You blame others instead of taking responsibility
  • You want an easy job rather than a meaningful challenge

We work hard, we work fast, we work smart — and we work with heart.

If these expectations feel overwhelming, this will not be an enjoyable environment for you.

A FINAL WORD

If you are someone who:

  • Shows up with passion and purpose
  • Takes ownership
  • Loves learning
  • Cares about their health and environment
  • Works well with others
  • Thrives in a dynamic, high-energy setting
  • Wants to contribute to something bigger

…then you will find Rosemary Hill to be a place where you can grow, belong and build a meaningful career.

We’re excited to meet the people who will shape our next chapter.
