Directions
- Travel east on the N4 towards Emalahleni (previously the Witbank highway)
- Pass the Solomon Mahlangu offramp (previously Hans Strydom) and take the next off-ramp (exit 18) towards Boschkop/Donkerhoek. There is a toll gate here.
- Turn right and continue over the bridge, onto the dirt road (R964) for 1,5km. The dirt road is maintained by the government but please be aware that it washes away if we get heavy rains. If you have a 4×4 or a vehicle with a higher ground clearance, it is recommended that you travel with that.
- Rosemary Hill is on the right—you will see the big green sign!

What is being farmed?
At Rosemary Hill Farm, we primarily cultivate rosemary, which we use to craft our own essential oils. These oils are infused into all the products in our accommodation units and restrooms, and are available for purchase in our coffee shop. Additionally, we farm a variety of other herbs and medicinal plants. Our orchards boast numerous fruit trees, the harvest of which is featured in our coffee shop offerings. Pecan nut trees on the farm provide ingredients for our coffee shop delicacies and are also seasonally available for purchase. Due to our commitment to organic and biodynamic farming, we reject chemicals and pesticides, preserving the purity of our land and fostering a balanced ecosystem.
Where does the name come from?
Our name, Rosemary Hill, stems from the picturesque landscape of our farm, characterized by rolling hills abundant with rosemary. As our primary crop, rosemary fields grace our land, inspiring the name that embodies the essence of our farm’s natural beauty and focus.
