Job Overview
We are seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic Guest Experience Manager to enhance the overall experience for both overnight guests and day visitors. This role is essential to ensuring our guests feel valued, informed, and delighted during their stay. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, with the ability to upsell our farm experiences, promote our retail products and provide personalised service to all of our visitors.
Responsibilities
- Welcome all guests (overnight and day visitors) warmly and assist with check-ins, providing a seamless and enjoyable arrival experience.
- Upsell and offer guests personalised recommendations for farm experiences, such as padel, picnics, walking trails, spa treatments, and more.
- Promote and upsell retail products available at the farm shop, including our natural body care range, essential oils, and other locally produced items.
- Act as the main point of contact for guests during their stay, addressing questions, requests, and any issues that may arise to ensure maximum satisfaction.
- Coordinate special requests (like romantic turndowns or birthday surprises) and liaise with other team members to ensure guest needs are met.
- Provide guests with information on local attractions, activities, and other relevant services.
- Monitor guest feedback and reviews, responding promptly and professionally to ensure a positive guest experience.
Requirements
- A suitable qualification in hospitality or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a guest-facing role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong upselling and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, according to business needs.
- Own transport is essential.

Sous Chef at Rosemary Hill

Job Overview
The role of our Sous Chef is to prepare meals ensuring a high level of performance, guest satisfaction and profitability. Guest satisfaction in our restaurant revolves around freshness, high quality of the food, it’s appearance and the overall dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Comply with Standards of Service and assist in assuring the same from all kitchen staff.
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the kitchen, coordinate food production schedules and ensure highest level of food quality, taste and presentation.
- Participate in actual food preparation consistently with high quality, taste and presentation and expedite during peak meal periods as needed.
- Control food cost by assisting in training kitchen and restaurant employees on how to minimise waste and manage leftovers.
- Ensure that all kitchen employees consistently adhere to hygiene requirements.
- In conjunction with the Head Chef, establish goals for the kitchen, anticipate and resolve problems concerning all facets of the kitchen, anticipate trends, enact approved profit-oriented and cost saving ideas/activities.
- In conjunction with the Head Chef, develop menus & create and ensure adherence to recipes and product specifications. Train kitchen staff on all new menus.
- Maintain effective communication within the kitchen, be responsive to staff suggestions and concerns and work to resolve problems.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with head chef, general manager, events manager and events coordinators.
- Conduct weekly inspections of the entire kitchen/dishwashing areas and coolers and promptly act to correct deficiencies found during inspection.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Thorough understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
- Proven kitchen management/supervisory experience required.
- Basic baking experience will also be beneficial.
- Formal culinary qualification will be highly beneficial.
Skills & additional requirements:
- Professional communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy – working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to take direction.
- Ability to work in a team environment.

We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to prepare a variety of desserts, pastries, cakes and other sweet goods for our weddings & farm shop. Your skill in baking high quality treats should be matched by your creativity to develop new amazing tastes and recipes.
The ideal candidate must be well-versed in culinary arts with a passion for sweet and delicious creations. They must adhere to health and safety standards to provide clients with the best possible serving.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, desserts etc. following traditional and modern recipes.
- Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers.
- Check and ensure that all products are consistently prepared at the highest quality standard.
- Be able to estimate baking needs, requisition of adequate supplies, manage inventory and keep records of products made and used
- Maintaining food costs within budget.
- Check quality of material, condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
- Equipment must be maintained according to proper health & safety standards.
- Guide, motivate & inspire pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently.
- Identify staffing needs and help train personnel.
- Forster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers.
- Maintain a clean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.
- Working closely with the kitchen & restaurant teams, management and other departments to ensure a harmonious working atmosphere.
